Are you enthusiastic about integrating ICT in language teaching? Do you believe that teachers and teacher educators learn by sharing their experience and working together? Are you committed to a cascading approach to teacher development in your country? Do you want to promote peer professional development in your country?

Our ICT-REV workshops will enable participants to successfully develop their confidence and competences in integrating ICT in language teaching in a pedagogically sound way. Through careful scaffolding of pre-workshop tasks, two days of intensive on-site workshop sessions and follow-up cascading activities, our model ensures sustainable continuous professional development.

A vast range of ICT tools that facilitate different aspects of language teaching and learning have been developed in recent years, many of them with European funding. However, the ongoing rapid developments in ICT pose a challenge to school-based educational traditions. Most contemporary language educators demonstrated their willingness to take up this challenge during the pandemic, applying available tools and resources for the benefit of their learners as a means to achieve educational success. However, the key to successful integration of ICT is for language educators to be aware of the available technologies and, more importantly, to reflect critically on their usage. This workshop provides ample opportunity for participants to consider the most appropriate tools and resources for their context and match these to their learners’ needs. Visibility, peer reviews, modelling, recommendations and advocacy all contribute to promoting an adequate and efficient use of tools and ultimately to achieving impact.

Participants will be required to fill in an online questionnaire prior to the online workshop, fulfil pre-workshop tasks involving the use of a designated Moodle online space, and to participate actively in the workshop itself, completing a variety of different activities in small groups or on their own. They will also be expected to engage in post-workshop tasks, sharing with their colleagues the resources and the training activities and skills they have developed during the workshop.

Depending on workshop specifications and on individual performance, the total workload ranges from 25 to 35 hours per participant.
