Hello,
today we were gone hiking in the National Park. We went there by bus about one and a half hour and even the way to the Park was so beautiful.
We went hiking for over 5 kilometres through the nature, over a suspension bridge and over water with a raft.
We climbed massive heights and also many, many stairs. It was exhausting but also very funny and lovely.
In the evening we met all at the beach and swam in the cold water. Then we grilled marshmallows over a fireplace. The sticks for the marshmallows were cut by Noora.
We sang all together and danced to famous songs like Gangnam Style and Makareina. We had lot of fun.

Hello there!
The day started early again but it was just 18°C. This time we rode our bikes 5 kilometres to the main kitchen in Kotka.
In this big industrial kitchen are 14,5 meals per day cooked and about 70 tons of food processed. With that there are 10000 people provided. In total there are 400 delivery locations all over Kotka and surroundings up to 30 kilometres.
The new kitchen stands there since 2010 and delivers food to schools, hospitals, kindergartenand more for free for 70 years. They cook also special diets, for example vegetarian, and the menus choosen by the clients rotate every 12 weeks. Amongst this they cook healthy and balanced, one time a week with fish.
The food is based on the Finnish food triangle. The students can choose between to meals per day.
The food delivery arrives at the kitchen every day at 5 o'clock and will then be combined with others, if it’s already cooked, or it will be cooked fresh.
We first heard a short speech about the hygiene conditions in this building and then got white overalls and white hoods to prevent contaminating the factory. Then we went in three groups trough two hygiene rooms, where we cleaned our hands and shoes.
After that we finally started the guided tour and got into the main room, where they cook and pack the food. There were many machines and tools.
We went also through other rooms in which there were cooling the food or processed the meals.
Every room has its own temperature checked by a huge computer. It’s very important to keep everything right.
In the end of the tour we got back to the meeting room we heard the presentation I and ate pizza and drank smoothies.
We heard another short speech and then rode back. It was informative and interesting.
Back at school we ate lunch and prepared our presentations further and wrote our blogs for today.
After school we ate again and then drove with the host family to the Kotka museum while Netta had guitar lesson. We got on a really big ship and it was amazing. You could look into the rooms and get the feeling of this.
Now we’re all tired and want to sleep.
Good night,
Josi

Hello,
today we had to get up early, because we met at school at 7 o'clock. Then we drove to the Hippala Farm by bike about 10 kilometres. In the morning it was not so hot driving in the sun, so it was easy to get there.
When we arrived the Family Hippala gave us a short introduction and overview of the farm, history and duties. Then they showed us the house were they milk the cows.
It was very tight in there but modern and built effective. That was quite impressive and I've never seen how cows getting milked by machines.
We could went along the way in this stable and got into the bigger part of the building were the cows live part-time. They also live on the meadow.
Among the big cows waiting to milked, there were calves. They were so cute and ssmal, land they sucked our fingers with their extreme long tongues. Later we learned that the calves get separated within a few hours after birth and that’s kinda sad.
In total there are 86 cows and 17 calves. There is much space for them.
In the following break we drank juice and fresh milk. We also are ice cream and took a rest.
In the end of our trip we saw a cow giving birth. It took about an hour till the calves finally laid in the hay. It was difficult for the farmer because the calve didn’t breath at the start but now he‘s healthy and alive.
When we were back at school we played some instruments in the music room and ate at the cafeteria.
Then we did our blogs and presentation in small groups.
After school we went shopping in a shopping mall in Kotka with many others. I bought some stuff and lots of food.
The whole day was quite amazing and cool.
See you soon,
Josi

Hello.
Whenwe arrived at school we got the school bikes and cycled about 7,5 kilometres to Luovi. Thatˋs a place in the middle of nowhere and itˋs amazing. The landscape is fantastic and the lake is so big and quiet.
First we had free time which I spent with the other Germans at the lake.
Then we played three action games with the finnish tutors. That was cool too, but it was so hot, that we couldnˋt stand it very long.
The lunch after that was awsome and delicious. It was fish soup for me and for the vegetarians broccoli soup. We sat in a big room with all the others.
After the break we went in our groups mixed with all countries to discuss the different topics. Mine was ‚Halal‘, itˋs a certain diet for muslims.
Later we had another break and ate pancakes with strawberry jam. Then we got another free time which we spent at the small playground with other finnish students.
At 3 o‘clock we arrived back at the school to give the bikes back. Then we directly went home, because we were all tired and our feet hurted.
In the evening we had a BBQ in our host family plus another family with an polish exchange student.
The first day at doing something for the program was so exciting and interesting and I met alot new people.

Hallo,

As I had written in the last blog entry already, now come the remaining pictures ;3

This is the mill at the bio farm Rothenhausen.

This is the great stallion in which the chickens stand every day. You can move the cottage so that the grass can grow evenly.

Here we have just picnic. In the background on the left you can see the pretty farm shop.

I took this picture on friday during the presentations.

Bye, Josi

Sunday, 14.05.2017

Hallo;)

It was a long week, which was quite a lot of fun.Just because Sini from Finland was with me and we all have done many things.

I could not pack all the photos in this entry, because that somehow did not load. I will add the remaining photos in the next blog entry. Sorry :(

Now a summary of the week:

On Sunday, 07.05.17, we took the Finns at noon at the main station in lübeck and drove home.
Sini and I went to the asparagus celebration in Groß Grönau and we had much fun there. The food was delicious and we could pet animals.
At home we have grilled and talked all the time.
Because we were all tired, we went to bed earlier than usual.

--------------------

On the following day, Monday, 08.05.17, we went to school and have guided all the guests. Then we got a healthy breakfast in the mensa and the students from germany introduced their projects, which they had prepared.
After that, we made a self-made urban rally through all over Lübeck. We had 16 stations and almost as many questions at the stations. In one group were 6 students.
The goal was to take a funny picture at every station.

Here, for example, the task was that we should be bigger than the church tower:

And we had the task to stand around the 3D map of lübeck:

https://peda.net/id/49836d92388

After the rally we went back to school to have lunch. We had to hurry because it started raining ;3.
In the afternoon we went shopping in small groups in Travemünde. When we got tired, we went to a cafe.

As actually on every day, we went early to bed, because we were very tired.

--------------------

On Tuesday, 09.05.17, all the exchange students were for the first four hours at Brüggen, a large company, which produces among other things muesli and muesli bars.
All the Germans had lessons at this time.
Afterwards we all had lunch in the mensa.
Then we went in groups to the city park and were shopping. We liked it all. We came back in the evening.

--------------------

On Wednesday, 10.05.17, all exchange students spent three hours of our lessons. In the last hour, while we were still teaching, the Poles and Finns have gone to Niederegger.
Then we went through the Breite Straße to the bus. We drove to Euroimmun, to a cooking workshop.

We cooked with meat and alex, the local cheeses, an appetizer, spaghetti, a main dish, asparagus with meat and sweet potato balls, and a dessert, pudding.

The cooking workshop ended at 8.30 pm, and we all were extremly tired. But the day was a lot of fun.

--------------------

On the next day, Thursday, 11.05.17, we met at 8.16 on the sand road and went by bus to krummesse, still wandering 3.5 km and reached the bio farm rothenhausen.
The farm is managed by several families and is relatively small. But the quality of the products they produce, harvest and refined is much greater than with ordinary farmers.
First the court was shown to us, with the stall, the bakery, the cheese factory and the field.
After that we made ourselves butter, with a glass, which we had to shake.
As last we did a picnic. The food and drink we got from the farm. It was all self-made things. That was pretty cool and yummi ;3
After that, we were shopping (again ;) ) in the LUV center. Its not as big as the City Park, but I think, we had a lot of fun.

--------------------

On Friday, the 12.05.17, all exchange students were again two hours with us in the classroom.
Then we prepared for the presentations, in three mixed groups. The themes were Brüggen, the cooking shop and Rothenhausen.
While the Germans made the last preparations, the Finnish and Polish were in the Hansemuseum.
At 3 pm we went to the families home. Lisa Fechner, Caroliina, Sini, Maya and I went to Lisa Fritz home. We ate spaghetti and then went back to school.
Then at 6 pm, all families came for the final event.
The presentations that we had previously prepared were held in three different rooms.
There was a buffet and the winners of the rally on monday were decided.

--------------------

On the last day, Saturday, 13.05.17, we took the morning to the train station. They drove very early, because they wanted to look at hamburg and wanted to spend a day there.
The farewell was very difficult and we all miss our exchange partners.
The poles did not leave until sunday.

----------------------------------------------------------

All in all, the week was really nice and we learned a lot.
I would get the chance, I would do it again and again. :)

See you later,
Josi

Saturday, 29.04.17

Hi there :)

Looking back on the week, I really have to say that now at the end of the challenge it was very difficult to keep up the challenge. I still think that the others have a harder time keeping the challenge, but in the rain with every weather outside to run is not nice.
I have to confess, on thursday I jogged only for 20 minutes. Because it rained heavily and I was really cold.
The other days went pretty well. I'm not the most athletic, but I am practiced in jogging, so the week was actually okay for me.
For me it would be horrible to do without sweets or meat. I just can't live without meat. ;D

In the next days I will write another blog entry. I think I write about the previous meeting and what we have done there.

See you,
Josi

Monday, 24.04.2017

Hey! (Again) ; )

In my first blog entry I wrote that I will make up everything the others have done. Just as I finished with the entry on the challenge week, I spontaneously had the idea to write another. This time I would like to introduce my dictionary and explain it.

I had this nice notebook already at home and found that it is perfectly suitable. It is stable and it has a lot of pages.
The separators of the categories on the right are for the main themes. These are the categories 'general', 'kitchen utensils', 'food' and 'other'. In general, I've written the most common sentences and words, such as hello, thank you and please.
The top separators are for the subcategories of 'kitchen utensils' and 'food'.
These are the following headings: hand tools, large appliances, beverages, vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, dairy products, cereal products and the rest that does not fit into any heading.

The second photo shows how it's organized inside.
A line with an object or food has a picture (I have never been good at drawing ;3), the English translation and the translations into Finnish and Polish.
I don't think all translations are correct, but I can change them during the exchange in finland.

I tried to make everything neat and write in a good writing, so that the dictionary is good to use and makes a good impression on the outside. Of course, I also made sure that the content is flawless.

The last photo shows the recipes. I had a lot of time and so I now have the right recipe for almost every state of Germany.
My favorite recipes are the sanddorn tea and the potato soup with northern shrimp. ; )

I hope I have explained everything understandably and left nothing.
I don't know yet which topic comes in the next blog entry, but I will still publish an entry at the latest on saturday.

Bye:)
Josi

Monday, 24.04.2017

Hey guys!

Today was the first school day after the holidays. At the same time, our challenge week starts today. Before the holidays we had to choose a thing which we must renounce or which we have to endure. I chose to go jogging every day for at least thirty minutes.
I think it's pretty easy. And despite the rainy weather, I managed to avoid getting wet ;3. Others have, for example, made the decision to forgo a week on sugar or meat. Some even eat vegan for a week. I think that's quite difficult. I could never live without meat, even if it is only for a week. : )
I hope the next days are as good as today.
And I hope the other erasmus participants do not fail at their tasks and keep the week through well.

See you later;)
Josi

Wednesday, 15. 3. 2017

Hey guys!
My name is Josi and I'm glad to be able to participate here. I'm so sorry that I'm starting the blog only now, but I had a few technical problems. This blog entry is a bit late, I know, but I try to make up everything.
First I start telling a bit about me. I'm 13 years old and from Groß Grönau. That's a small village in the near of Lübeck in Germany. I go to the Ernestinenschule in Lübeck.
I applied for the project, because I think its a great experience, that you have only once in your life. Trough Erasmus you learn a lot about food, other countries and you get new impressions.

On our first meeting a while ago, we spoke about our dictionarys. We checked the completeness and we have compered them. We all had a lot of time invested in it.
We did much mor group projects in groups of four people. The results I will soon blog.

See you soon,
Josy
