Ready to go....almost :)

June 1st

So, my language course and flight tickets are booked and paid for and I have about a week to get ready to go.

I've received more information about the course and about my accomodation. For one whole week I'll be staying with a 64-year-old Spanish teacher, Eva, who lives just a few blocks from the language school. How convenient! They want me to come to the school at 8 on Monday morning to take a test to be able to decide into which group to put me. Oh dear! I hope they won't find me an absolutely hopeless case and send me back home...

I'll be studying Spanish in a group with some other students for four hours each day from Monday to Friday. The lessons will be either in the morning (9-13.30) or in the afternoon (14-18.30). I will get the exact schedule at the school on Monday. It says in the information that the school also arranges different kinds of trips and activities in the afternoons and in the evenings. That sounds interesting.

Since the spring hasn't been too nice and warm here in Finland (snowing, sleeting, hailing, raining and temperatures something between -5 and +5) I'm kind of looking forward to the lovely warm and sunny weather in Barcelona. I guess my suitcase won't weigh too much - there's no need to pack any sweaters, bobble hats or woolly socks. I'll do fine with some tank tops, shorts and a pair of sunglasses 😎.
