Lecture 2 Why the weakest performing in Finland do so well compared to other countries

As seen in the previous lecture one, the weakest performing students in Finland outperform their counterparts in OECD countries by a great margin giving one important reason for the Finnish success in the PISA results. In this lecture we go to this issues in more detail and learn what kind of support systems and practices Finland has implemented to ensure equality and good results to every student.

Note that reading the graphs in this lecture are similar to that in lecture one. The graphs describe result by percenteils of the performance of the students now compared to selective other countries. From the graphs you can again see the fact that the weakest students in Finland do much better than the weakest students
