Part 1: Description of the event:

 Sambhāra - Bringing Together Delights of Indian Cuisine

Come and join us for an evening of discovering and sharing an Indian meal. Bhavani, the chef for the evening is, is a nutritionist and dietician by background. Currently a doctoral researcher in Educational Leadership at the University of Jyväskylä , she shares her passion for food and cooking through her vegetarian and vegan cooking courses at Kansalaisopisto for the last three years. She had conducted vegan and vegetarian workshops from varied cuisines at the University of Jyväskylä, The Local Culture Hostel and Cafe and at private cooking workshops for the Finnish audience.

 This workshop will offer a complete meal while we have time to demonstrate two Indian dishes made with locally available vegetables and ingredients.

 A cup of coffee/ tea would be a perfect end to this meal and conversation about Indian food.

 Food Platter includes:
Grilled egg plant whipped with yoghurt.( Vegetarian)
Peanut salad ( Vegan)
Cumin Pulav ( Vegan)
Chick pea curry ( Vegan)
Paneer and Capsicum Saute ( Vegetarian)

Part 2:

We will do a demonstration of the Grilled Egg Plant Raita and Peanut Salad on the event evening.

 The parents who come will have small tasks that help to put these two dishes together.

 They will receive a detailed recipe book with these 5 recipes and the steps to make them.
