In practice, we all have careers, but we seldom stop to think what we really mean with a career. In the first lecture of this session professor Lämsä discusses the many faces and definitions of a career. We learn that a career can mean a development in one’s profession, life-long series of roles in work or a series of interrelated life-long work-related processes and activities. While listening to the lecture, you may reflect to your own personal career and think it along the various lines and definitions presented in the lecture.
