What is the most important, and the most difficult thing in teacher development? In this lecture, Mr. Spinks argues that it is teacher relearning. He states, that there are very many teachers, who have taught their topics for several years and decades, but have not developed their approaches and teaching practices. In the lecture we also learn, that the best ways for teachers to relearn, is not to go to the conferences, but to have a coach or a mentor at the school or in the close region. Later, in the class, Mr. Spinks talks about the importance of feedback – so that in addition to the concerns we might have, it is very important to point out the thinks to be praised.
