Lecture 3 Quality of school leadership training
Lecture 3 Quality of school leadership training
During this lecture we learn about some of the key results about the HEAD project about the quality of school leadership training programs. First, we learn about the importance of the curriculum and the staff in the program. Later, professor Tjeldvoll talks about different theoretical approaches of quality; the progressivist approach and about the New Public Management (NPM) approach.
By the end of the lecture we learn the synthesis criterion for quality and we are given four questions to think about the converging tendencies for quality. At the end of this lecture, you are asked to answer the questions of professor Tjeldvoll, and make your own definitions of quality in education at large.
