In the very beginning of the first lecture, professor Tjeldvoll asks the students two questions about their experiences from their earlier university studies, and your task is to answer them. After this orientation you will learn about the “norm legacies” of universities and organizational models related to them. Then, we learn how service universities are becoming more and more competitive.

At the end of the class professor Tjeldvoll explain in more detail the major differences universities operate: Idealistic, functionalistic, or rationalistic norms.
