Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart kuuluu klassisen musiikin kärkinimiin.
This is the most famous aria (singer's solo piece) written for a female voice. It is part of the opera Magic Flute by Mozart. The Queen of the Night feels threatened and tries to scare her rival Sarastro and her daughter Pamina. It is considered to be one of the hardest and highest arias for soprano singer. The lyrics below are in English, the opera is in German.

Sanat englanniksi:

The vengeance of Hell boils in my heart,
Death and despair flame about me!
If Sarastro does not through you feel
The pain of death,
Then you will be my daughter nevermore.
Disowned may you be forever,
Abandoned may you be forever,
Destroyed be forever
All the bonds of nature,
If not through you
Sarastro becomes pale!
Hear, Gods of Revenge,
Hear a mother's oath!
