Tšaikovski: Pähkinänsärkijä - Makeishaltijattaren tanssi
Pähkinänsärkijä-baletti on Pjotr Tšaikovskin yksi suosituimmista sävellyksistä, sillä siinä on suuri määrä lyhyitä itsenäisiä osia, joista on itsestään tullut todella suosittuja.
Tšaikovski oli venäläinen romantiikan ajan säveltäjä. Makeishaltijattaren tanssi on yksi ensimmäisiä sävellyksiä, joissa käytettiin uudenlaista kosketinsoitinta celestaa. Siinä vasarat lyövät metallilaattoja, joten ääni muistuttaa kellopeliä, mutta kaiun takia ääntä kuvattiin taivaalliseksi, siksi nimeksi tuli celesta.
Celesta kuvannee tässä kuitenkin sokerin kimallusta.
The Nutcracker ballet is one of the most famous pieces by Pjotr Tšaikovsky. The ballet has several separate charachters and dances that have become very popular independently.
The music is composed in the romantic period in the 1800s. Tšaikovsky introduced a new instrument, celeste in the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. It is an automated glockespiel with an echo, which makes it sound heavenly = celestial. The celestial glimmering sound of the celeste in this piece propably tries to paint the glimmering of sugar.
