"Greece, as any other Mediterranean country, is widely considered ideal for holidays for the so many benefits of the climate, especially in summer.

Winters are generally mild with a medium temperature of 5–10 degrees. Northern Greece may experience -20 degrees and heavy snow if winter is hard. But this is not so common since global warming has changed the climate. Summers are really difficult because the highest temperatures may go up to 43 degrees in some areas. If at this time there is high percentage of humidity, then it is difficult for some people with health problems even to breathe.

Warm summers are good chance for swimming in the numerous magnificent beaches , awarded by the Blue Flag. You can find anything you like. Either small , deep , pebbly beaches or long, shallow and sandy ones. Whatever you choose you will enjoy an absolute relax under the famous Greek sun.

The Greek islands are known for their nature. They vary from really arid islands to very green ones. Each one has its own beauty and landscapes. Most of them (for example Myconos, Santorini, Kefallonia, Zakynthos, Ios, Tinos, Crete, Corfu ) are famous all over the world and are visited by millions of people every year.

Greece's primary industry is tourism. Each place has a whole developed complex of hotels, rooms, tavernas, restaurants, cafes, spas or resorts to satisfy every preference and local people depend on that especially in the summer. Moreover, agriculture plays a very important role. The favorable Mediterranean climate makes it possible to produce everything: tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbages, lettuces, all the vegetables you can imagine and all the fruit you know. And the most important is that they smell real fruit and vegetables, not greenhouse or factory products. The greek olives and olive oil have their own characteristics and they are unique for the quality, the taste and the smell. There are places where you can see thousands of olive trees in one place."
