Animal, Vegetable or Mineral

English Star
nappiloinen.pngIn this game you have to put the items in order. There's three levels, and you have to complete them all. You have 15 seconds for each question, so be quick. (However, you can ask a friend as often as you want.) When you succeed you start the main game.In the main game your questions get more and more difficult as you go up. If you get stuck, you have two choices. You can go 50/50, or you can ask the computer. If you ask the computer, you have a 75% chance it will be right.We will be adding more questions each week from the Question of the Week database, so remember to come back later and try the game with some new questions.

When you click start you will see two words and one definition. If you choose the word which matches the definition, you gain one point. If you choose the wrong word, you will see the literal meaning of 'pitfall'

Whose Dragon?

You have to find out who it is by completing the table according to the information which appears below it. Only fill in the space for the dragon if you are sure. If you are wrong the game will end. Remember to use the spellings and capital letters exactly as you see them in the clues.
The Letter Thief
nappiloinen.pngYou are driving a police car to the scene of a crime. To go down each street you need to take one letter out of a word, and put another letter in to give the word a new meaning.
Animal Maze!
nappiloinen.pngYou need to spell out the animals to get through this maze. Every time you come to a turning in the maze, you will see a letter. Click on the right letter to go further into the maze. If you click a letter that is not a part of the colour you are spelling, you will get a warning - do it too often, and you have to start again.
Categories
nappiloinen.pngYou can see some categories - for example DOGS. But what kind of dogs? When you click START, you will see fifteen cards. When you turn over three cards in one category, click on the category (in white on the left). Keep going until you have used all the cards. Watch the clock on the right. When all the bars have gone, you have to start again.
Games 2, 3 and 4 are the same, but at more advanced levels.

Big Game Fishing

You have to spell the word which the picture represents. To do so, just click on the letters which you need. But be careful - if you click the wrong letter you lose 5 seconds. Watch the clock! Three levels - Elementary, Intermediate or Advanced.
Similes Crossword
nappiloinen.pngFirst read the clues. When you think you know the answer, click on the clue, and you will be taken to the beginning of your word. Don't click on the crossword, or it won't recognise your letters. If you have written the correct letter, you will be taken to the next space to write the next letter. If your letter is wrong, it will vanish, and you have to try another one. Have fun!

Cannonball Express
nappiloinen.pngWhen you click the start button a set of words will appear. These words are part of a sentence but they are not in the right order. To make the sentence you will need to shoot each word in the order they should be in the sentence, using the cannon. To shoot just click the cannon. To move the cannon to the left or to the right press the 'left' and 'right' word. Have fun!

From Small to Large

The letters with a green background are part of more than one word. Letters that go black when you click on them are not part of a word. If you click more than three of these, the game is over. If you finish the game with 25 words in their proper categories, going from small to large, you have won the game!
Verb, Noun or Both?

Then click the box it belongs in. If you are right, the word will go into its box. If you are wrong, it will just vanish. Then you will see an example of how to use the word, and the next word.Choose your level

Vocabulary Jungle
nappiloinen.pngYou must go through the vocabulary jungle one step at a time. Choose a category, and then go through stepping only on words in that category. You must choose words that touch the square you are on, and you must go forwards. So you always have three choices, unless you are on the top or the bottom of the grid. If you step off the path, you have to start again on another path with another category. On level 1, all word categories make a path through the grid. But in levels 2 & 3, two categories will leave you lost in the jungle!
Make or Do?
nappiloinen.pngFirst, look at the word in red. Decide whether you use 'make' or 'do' with this word. Then make a bet, and then click 'make' or 'do' (in yellow) to see if you were right.
The Prefixes game
nappiloinen.pngBuild a tower from suitable blocks. If the block is the right shape, and it has the right prefix for the word that it will fall next to, press 'Accept'; otherwise you must 'Reject' it.
The Description detective
nappiloinen.pngYou are a police officer. When you press start, you will see an investigation. Read the description of the wanted person carefully. Then wait, and you will go to the playground, the airport, a restaurant, and the park . If you see the person in the description, click the person with your mouse.
Rocking English
nappiloinen.pngWhen you press the start button you will see two lines of a song. The last word is missing. You must decide what the last word is; and you have to get it right quickly, or the singer won't be able to get out of the way of the rotten tomatoes the audience are throwing.

Trigger Finger
