In Lecture 8, Lin shares her draft report about Japan educational leadership training programmes. First she provides Japan's PISA result and the basic information of the country. Then she mentions that the Japanese education system is a mix of both Chinese model and the western model. There are many functions carried out by the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Technology. In national and public schools, school principals are civil servants. They receive principalship training from the national or local principal committee. In order to become a principal in Japan, the applicant needs to pass the exam, health exam and the interview.
