In the third lecture professor Lämsä continues to elaborate on the framework of strategies of ethical leadership she began on lecture one. Now she discusses the two remaining strategies, rule-based strategy and integrity-based strategy. Next she discusses about an important aspect called value congruence, which means the alignment of personal and organizational values.

During the discussion of rule-based strategies she also presents as an example a framework called SA8000 (Social Accountability 8000): as an attempt to present a ‘standardized’ system for managing workplace ethical conditions. In the end of the lecture professor Lämsä also talks about transformational leadership in connection to ethical leadership.
