Lecture 3 Removing obstacles
Lecture 3 goes deeper into the practice. You will learn how to remove the obstacles which hinder the organizational innovation. Building an information system is the first step, because all the innovation starts from the analysis phase. Giving more autonomy to the people who have the most knowledge in their field is crucial. In many cases, successful innovations take place at the front-line rather than in the top manager’s office. It is also emphasized, that rewarding and recognizing people who take the initiatives and try new approaches, is essential. Team-based rewarding will also bring good team performance. We know, that creativity skills can be learned. Therefore, leaders as well as teachers should take training in order to identify the key elements in organizational innovation.
