Lecture 4 Feeling rules and emotion management
Earlier in lecture one and two we learned what feelings and emotions are and how we can observe and analyze them. In this lecture we discuss about emotion management which deals with the issue weather we express the emotions or not. Important element in that are the feeling rules. At the end of the lecture we learn the “tools” to enhance emotional intelligence in organizations.

Assignment after the lecture: Write an essay about the topic: “Understanding the importance of emotions at the workplace”. You can choose your own personal approach, use your own experiences, and use any references in the readings; some suggested reading are mentioned below.. The length of the paper should be 3-4 pages. The evaluation of this assignment is based on the clarity of writing and arguments, and the use of examples, and the use references.
