Media Awareness Learning Kit

Media literacy skills are essential citizenship skills at any age. They include finding reliable information, checking if a source is trustworthy and understanding how media can influence us. Strong media skills also support everyday problem-solving, safer use of digital services and more confident participation in democracy.

This Learning Kit focuses especially on recognising mis- and disinformation. It contains clear and practical materials such as guides, slides, quizzes, discussion cards and examples of common misinformation tactics. The aim is to help older adults learn how to separate facts from false or misleading content.

All materials have been designed for and tested with older adults. They use simple language, clear visuals and flexible activities. You can use single materials in your own work or combine several elements to create longer sessions or workshops. All resources are free to download and use.
