In session 6 we sum up our discussion of special education and inclusive education practices and policies. We discuss the importance to understand the different contexts and cultures in different countries, we discuss various research findings and case- examples. We also get to know the events in the Jyväskylä region in Finland when the city made the strategic decision to move into the direction of more inclusive education.

Session 6 consists of 5 lectures and PowerPoint slides related to it. There will be no readings no assignments in this session, but keep in mind in this session, as well as in the sessions to come, the assignment for this course. It is therefore advised, that while listening the lectures, make your own notes about the educational solutions in Finland.
