- How does the books make you feel and what techniques does the author use to create the mood?
- Who are the main and minor characters and what are they motivated by?
- Which characters do you relate to or find difficult to understand? Why?
- Which line or paragraph in the book makes an impression on you? Why?
- How would you interpret the ending? What is the story trying to say?
By the end of the course, finish the book and either...
- Turn in your notes in the form of a book report.
- Or, show up for a 10-20-minute interview with the teacher. You can bring your book to the discussion.
