Group Mobility to Nice, France (September 2025)

At the turn of September and October 2025, eight students and four teachers from our school had the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus trip to Nice, France. The students and their host families had already started getting to know each other through messages and video calls before the trip. Upon arrival at the airport, the students went directly with their host families.

On our first morning at school, we noticed a clear difference between the school in Nice and our own school. The school in Nice was guarded, and a pass was required to enter the school grounds. Each student's school day followed the timetable of their host family's student, so everyone had a different schedule. The teachers observed lessons in various subjects. There were also times when we all gathered together with the host students, classes and teachers. At the opening event, after the principal's welcoming words, our students introduced Kyösti Kallio School and Nivala using presentations they had prepared.

We spent one school day by the sea, studying how waste decomposes and taking part in a beach clean-up. We also went on a walking trip up to a high viewpoint, where we could admire the beautiful city of Nice and its coastline. We also explored the fascinating Old Town.

In the evenings, the students spent time with their host families and had the opportunity to visit various sights, spend time by the sea and even visit Monaco. On the final evening, the whole group, students, teachers and host families, gathered for a meal together at a local restaurant. The trip gave us unforgettable experiences and new friendships
