Cookery class

Elena and Anni:

In the cookery class we prepared fish and mashed potatoes and for dessert we baked blueberry pie.

Feedback on the food:
- It was fun and a unique experience because In Italy they don't have cookery classes at school.
- It was fun to cook together. At the same time we practised becoming independent and shared this moment with others.
- The blueberry pie and vanilla sauce were really tasty. The meal was well-thought-out because it contained products from all food groups.

The fish from the lake was pike perch. It was first breaded with a mixture of salt and flour, then fried on the pan in butter until crispy and golden brown. Olive trees don't grow in Finland, so we used local butter. Scusa, our Italian friends!

Recipes

Fish

Roll the fish fillets in rye flour and salt, put the butter on the pan, warm it and fry the fillet gently on both sides until golden brown. Season with lemon pepper and dill.
