The activities reveal the students how many different ways water influences our life and how dependent we are on it. The results of the studies and presentations are documented on the website for further use in the schools and other local institutions, and the students also write an article about each visit to a local newspaper. The project will raise the students´ awareness of the significance of water both locally and globally. It also involves and improves skills in exploratory learning, team work and project work. They will also consider the recreational aspect of living close to water: presenting the existing means of recreation and brainstorming new ideas for recreation. 

We will use peer evaluation and group discussions to assess the success of the activities. Students (individually/pairs or small groups) are also given feedback for any literal and oral work they produce either by the teacher or the other members of the group. They will also assess their own own contribution in the project for which purpose we will plan self evaluation forms.
