Heart rate and pulse

Testing heart rates

1. How do you measure the actual rest pulse

2. How low you can get your heart rate? ( lay down, relax)

3. Read the instructions thru. Execute the tests with you partner using the heart monitor..

a) Do sit ups for 1min. Partner holding legs and timing Write down heart rates.

b) Steps on a chair for1min. ajan. Partner holding the chair and timing.

c) Run the school stairs from the basement to the 2nd floor and back. Partner writing heart rates.

 

Measuring  ( 3 times )

- Relax before testing. Write down your starting pulse. (SP)

- Right after excersice write down the highest heart rate eg. exersice pulse (EP)

- Relax and cool down for  1.5min . Write down your recovery pulse  (RP)

Make a chart in your note book.
