This lecture explains how to look for the weak signals which may turn into megatrends in the society in the future. The lecture revises how to build the mission statement of a school and how to start the visionary process. At the end professor Alava introduces once more a summary of the visionary process.

   2. Discussion: Searching the Megatrends. Think about your own context and culture. What kind of megatrends can you find? You can use the matrix provided. Name the country and region in question. Write down the megatrends affecting your own organization and explain them in a few words. Post your answer on the discussion board. Read the megatrends other students have found. Remember to comment at least 1 other writing in the discussion board. While having this discussion you can proceed to the next lecture.
