In lecture 4 we go closer to the point of the usability of the framework and the cognitive styles. In order to fully be able to utilize them, we need to develop our skills to identify the various styles from behavior. Therefore, we need to be rather observant about the words and posture of other people in order to make a conclusion of the styles underneath.

Actually, in this lecture we learn unique features from people who possess the different cognitive styles, or their combinations. In most cases, people have more than one dominant style. The key lesson to all of us is that understanding your own cognitive styles as well as your colleagues' preferences will benefit team building and team work.

In this lecture students discuss their own cognitive profiles. You can see their personal profiles reflecting different dominances. Pay attention to how the students also analyze how their dominance work in practice. In the last part of the lecture, Professor Alava also discusses a special case in the profile - that of top managers in the organization. Surprisingly, we learn that top managers have no special dominance, all four areas in the profile are very close to each other.

Assignment after the lecture: After the lecture, placein the discussion areathe key points of your own cognitive styles. Shortest, you can write the abbreviations of the four cognitive styles added with your own score, like ANA 58, INT 62, SOC 55, ORG 48, OR LIKE. Then, add a short commentary how you have seen your own dominances working at the workplace. Also, later comment to the writings of your colleagues as seen fit.
