Session 1 Towards the Learning Organization and Beyond
Session 1 Towards the Learning Organization and Beyond
Session 1 deals with the origins, characteristics and use of the notion of organizational learning. It consists of six lectures. In the first lecture we get to know some of the classics in the field, namely Chris Argyris and Peter Senge. In the second lecture, you will learn the differences between two key concepts: organizational learning and learning organization. Later in third lecture, you will learn one of the most important theories of change: single loop and double loop learning. The framework is especially useful in understanding deep and profound change. In lecture four you will learn what happens when different disciplines discuss about learning organization. Lecture five focuses on interaction and dialogue. Professor explains why dialogue is important. Lecture on historical development of constructs ends the session 1.
