Lecture 1 Innovative organizational culture

The topic of Session 4 focuses in organizational culture, which supports innovation. First you will have a recap of what culture is and its strong impact on organization. You will also review the spider net model which displays the organizational culture at different levels. As a typology of cultures, you leaEDLS012_S4_L1.pdf​rn Daft’s (1999) categorizes of four types of cultures with two axes (stability-flexibility, external focus-internal focus). In the last part of the lecture, Professor Alava discusses eight main features in organizational culture which support the innovation.
