Lecture 4 Emerging practices in schools achieving success for all

In the beginning of this lecture, Mr. Spinks talks about the importance of the selection of teachers to the school. He refers to the famous McKinsey report, which studies the characteristics of nations with excellent results. Out of the nine key points in the study, Mr. Spinks especially emphasizes that operational responsibility and budgets need significantly to be devolved to school level: this includes the selection of teachers at the school level!

At the end of the lecture, pay special attention to the points presented as the emerging practices in schools achieving success for all students: countries studied are Finland, Australia, England, and New Zealand.
