November 17 - 22, we had our third project meeting in Gimnazjum 141 "Hubala" in Warsaw. There were one teacher and two students from Belgium, two teachers and students from Spain, two teachers and five students from Sweden and a teacher with three students from Finland taking part in the programme. Our hosts were very warm, friendly and hospitable and they really made us feel welcome. The programme was full:

On Sunday morning we met in the Old Town of Warsaw. The students had a walk around the place. At the same time they finished a task on about the different sights and monuments of the Old Town. Then we all visited the Royal Palace which was renovated after the total destruction of the place in the World War II. After that the students spent the rest of the day with their hosts. The teachers had a meeting at school after a lunch with delicious traditional Polish dishes like dumplings, compotte and some apple pie as dessert.

On Monday we gave presentations about our own schools and countries to the Polish pupils, in English of course, had lunch at school, visited the town hall in Targowek and made a forest walk in the Bródnowski Forest. There we saw a stronghold dating back to the 12th century. The mayor of Targowek gave us all presents, for example a cd and a book dealing with various monuments of the Second World War.

On Tuesday we had a field trip to Lowich. There we learned to know about the local culture and traditional clothing. The young had some drama lessons and did some paper cuttings in the traditional way of the area.

Wednesday was spent at school. We had meetings and lunch there, too. In the afternoon we took the bus to the Old Town and had a walk to the Palace of culture and science before taking a shopping spree in one of numerous shopping malls in Warsaw. In the evening the students had some fortune telling at school.

Thursday was the departure day. We flew to Rovaniemi and took the bus back home. We arrived at Ivalo at half past twelve at night.
