Checkpoint Charlie

I've chosen Checkpoint C because it was the best known checkpoint of berlin wall - a symbol of cold war and the iron courtain. It was one of two checkpoints in which the allied soldiers from USA, Britain and France stationed. Ofiicial East-German name for this checkpoint was Zimmerstraße. Only non-germans could pass the border at this checkpoint.

When I was standing near this place, I was amazed by the fact that twenty years ago people couldn't go fifty meters straight to pass the border. I'm so glad that the wall had fallen and now everyone can travel where he wants whithout big limits.
