Interview of a child worker - time traveller's podcast

1) After reading the texts and watching the videos, work with Two partners and choose one job that a child in the 19th century Britain could have had.
2) Imagine that you get to step into a time machine and meet that child to carry out an interview to be recorded as a "podcast"
3) Decide which one of you acts as the child and which one is the time-travelling interviewer from the present day
4) Prepare a thorough set of questions that you want to ask the child. (at least 10 questions!) (Write down the interview on a separate sheet of paper - not in your notebooks - to be stored by the teacher- DO NOT TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU!)

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU SHOW YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CHILDREN'S WORKING CONDITIONS AND LIFE IN THE 19TH CENTURY IN THIS INTERVIEW. TRY TO INCLUDE AS MANY FACTS AS POSSIBLE FROM EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE READ/SEEN ABOUT THIS TOPIC!  TRY TO MAKE IT SOUND AS CONVINCING/AUTHENTIC AS POSSIBLE! = How would a child living and working in such conditions describe their life and what would they sound like?

Ask questions about...
- the child's age
- home (living conditions) and family
- the job they do: what kind of chores; what kind of conditions, dangers, pay, food, working hours etc. (Be specific, give examples! Make it sound plausible = uskottava)
- reasons for working
- their health
- future expectations, hopes and dreams
- your own ideas?

5) Invent the child's answers together - Give thorough answers that reflect your knowledge and understanding of what life really was like for some children in those days!
