Parents have, naturally, an important role in increasing the social capital of the school. In this lecture Mr. Spinks broadens the discussion from families also to the wider community where the school operates. He also talks about the importance of partnerships and external networks. In the lecture we also link the money to the equation of learning outcomes, social capital, and educational administration. It might surprise us how little of the money put into education actually reaches the school level activities.
