Lecture 4 Managerial roles and the evolution of leadership

This lecture explains how management and leadership behaviour and thinking has been seen and developed in the recent history. The lecture clarifies once more the differences between leadership and management as they are seen nowadays.

Assignments after the lecture:

1. Reflective report. Write your learning experiences into your personal reflective report. The reflective report for session 5 will be submitted after lecture 5.
2. Discussion: leadership behaviour. Think of your own organization or an organization where you have been working as a follower. What kind of leadership behaviour can you locate? What about management behaviour? Post your findings on the discussion board. Read also the findings of others. Remember to comment at least 1 other writing in the discussion board. While having this discussion you can proceed to the next lecture.
