Lecture 1 Why study organizations?

Lecture 1 Why study organizations?

In the first lecture of the session, Professor Alava gives the course orientation. He explains the rationale of studying the organisation theory. We need organization theories in order to understand how and why organisations evolve and behave in certain ways. However, there is no single theory which can explain all the phenomena, we need to take different lenses to observe and research the organisations.
