The topic of this lecture is human resource frame. There are different assumptions of the relationship between people and organisation. According to McGregor, theory X and Y represent two opposite assumptions of people. In theory X, leader's behaviours tend to be highly directive, while in theory Y, leader encourages collaboration and participation. In an organisation, the focus falls on tasks or people will lead to different leadership practice.
