Lecture 2 starts with Kim’s model which looks into the relationship between social communication and cross-cultural adaptation. Then you will learn the goals for adaptation in 3 aspects: functional fitness, psychological health, and intercultural identity. Finally, you will learn the definition of adaptation from communication perspective.
