Lecture 1 Communication relationships and adaptation
This lecture focuses on the importance of communication relationship in the adaptation process. The lecturer introduces 3 models which perceive relationship as one key variable in adaptation. First, Kim’s model relates the adaptation to interaction relationships. The second model divides the world into different isolated culture groups. The third model criticizes the second model and sees the culture clusters very often overlapping each other.
