In Lecture 5, Lecturer Värri briefly introduces the principal training in Finland. According to the Teaching Qualification Act issued in 1999, an appointed principal needs to have adequate teaching experience along with a certificate in educational administration. There are also various principal training programmes available to enhance principals' career development.
