English Journey
| Bags packed, excitement building, 10 teenagers boarded a coach from West Kirby, destination Hungary! Four hours later, we arrived in Budapest, tired from the journey, yet looking forward to meeting our families. We travelled to the train station to pick up our Polish friends on the way to Dabas and were then greeted by a party of Hungarians, eager to show us to their homes. After a brief welcoming, we were taken to our respective homes, all located within 10 minutes of the school, ready for bed! Our nerves quickly went as we realised how friendly and hospitable our hosts were; we soon felt like part of the family. We sat down for a family meal and had our first taste of a traditional Hungarian dish, which we were more than happy to try! The day had taken it's toll on us, so after a quick cup of Cocoa, we made our ways to bed, looking forward to the next day of events. By Ed and Nell |
