Lecture 1 The ONE leader syndrome
Lecture 1 The ONE leader syndrome
For many years, the main idea about leading organizations has been the assumption of ONE leader at the top. It has deep historical roots, which are explained in this lecture. However, the world and circumstances have radically changed into the new direction. Recent research and experiences from the practice call for a totally different concept of leading emphasizing collaborative and shared leadership. This lecture opens up the reasons for the ONE leader ideology, and also explains the origins of the shared and teacher leadership.
