Exchange student Martina´s letter
Ciao! Mi chiamo Martina Schiesaro, ho diciassette anni e sono italiana. Abito nella periferia di una cittá chiamata Rovigo con i miei genitori, mia sorella e il nostro cane.
Thanks to my exchange program organization AFS, I’m living in Finland for 10 months, from half August 2018 to half June 2019.
I think Finland is such a nice and interesting country. Even though I’m still in Europe there is every day something new to discover in the culture and I feel so glad about that.
In Raahe I feel totally comfortable: my city in Italy for our standard is also really small but still, 20.000 inhabitants, more than in Raahe.
Raahe’s high school is very nice and cozy. The main reason I think is that the teachers are helping the students really much if they need it, but because the school is so small too. The school is in the center of the city, so it is nice for the students not to be so far from many activities and, how to forget… you have the view to the sea from the windows of the school!
My future plans are not completely clear. I know for sure I want to go to university: I know I like languages and business economy, but is not clear which will be my way and where: Italy or Finland? We’ll see.
