Social relationships

Frienships are important. Good friends are people that you like to spend time with. They listen, understand and encourage you. They also know when you want to be left alone.

Friendships are an endless source of energy, positive feelings, strength, safety and acceptance. Good relationships with others also need work. This means that you have to make an effort to be a good friend to the people around you. Listen to your friends, keep their secrets and help them when they need help.

In different situations, it is important to know how to read people's facial expressions and physical language. Not everything can or needs to be said out loud, and a wordless message can sometimes be more powerful than a one that is said out loud. Being able to interpret people's expressions and physical language is an important social skill. It can also be practiced.

People are different, and every person is unique. Everyone also has the right to be the way they are, and the people around them should not pressure them into being a certain way. By accepting others as they are you make others feel safer and more comfortable around you.

Different romantic relationships are also part of a person's development. You may feel attracted to the people around you, and these feelings can last either a short or a long time. If the person you have a crush on also feels the same way about you, it is possible for you to begin a romantic relationship. However, each person develops differently. The time at which a person feels ready for their first romantic relationship varies greatly between different people. The most important thing is to remember that both people in the relationship feel safe, accepted and good.
