Arrival at Fiumicino Airport (around 6:00 PM) and pick-up by host families.
Dinner with host families.
Teachers will stay at the hotel Casa della Concordia – Seraphicum.

Monday, May 5 – School and Exploration of the EUR District
9:00 AM – School visit and workshop activities
11:00 AM – Welcome reception with a performance by the Vivona Choir
12:30 PM – Brunch offered by the school
3:00 PM – Guided tour of the EUR district with Italian students (Class 3A):
Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, EUR Lake, Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul
5:00 PM – Return home with host students and snack time
7:30 PM – 10:30 PM – “G-astronomic Evening” at Via Brancati, organized by the school as part of the Open Schools project

Tuesday, May 6 – Ancient Rome with Class 4D
9:30 AM – Meeting point at EUR Palasport metro station. Itinerary:
Circus Maximus – Aventine Hill – Mouth of Truth – Theatre of Marcellus – Jewish Ghetto
Packed lunch
2:30 PM – Continuation: Largo Argentina – Pantheon – Piazza Navona – Piazza Venezia – Capitoline Hill – Colosseum – Arch of Constantine
Free time in the city center
Return home and dinner with host families

Wednesday, May 7 – Visit to the Geothermal Power Plant in Larderello
7:30 AM – Departure by coach from Piazza Vivona
Guided tour of the geothermal power plant in Larderello
Organized lunch
Visit to the steam vent exhibition
Return to Rome in the evening

Thursday, May 8 – Discovering Rome
9:30 AM – Meeting point at EUR Palasport metro station
Visit to St. Peter’s Square, Borgo Pio, Janiculum Hill, Trastevere
Packed lunch
Free afternoon
8:00 PM – Traditional Roman dinner at Il Girasole restaurant

 

Friday, May 9 – Day at the Beach in Ostia
10:00 AM – Meeting point at EUR Palasport metro station, travel to Ostia
Transfer to the beach establishment La Pinetina
12:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Lunch
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM – Beach volleyball tournament
6:30 PM – Return to host families

Saturday, May 10 – Departure
Transfer to the airport for return flight (time to be confirmed)
