Course overview

This course gives an overview of leadership and management in schools. The purpose is to apply general views of leadership to the school context. Students are expected to have basic knowledge of different perspectives of leadership (see ELSS210). The course focuses on the historical development of school leadership, and special attention is given to different ways of conducting school leadership training in various countries. When participating in this course, students are expected to familiarize themselves with the school leadership training in their own (or a foreign) country by writing a report on it.
