This course focuses on qualitative research paradigm. It is an introductory course to qualitative research methods. Dr. Markku Leskinen goes through different stages of quantitative research and explains how to do good quality research in education. The course will give students an overall picture of quantitative research and help them understand when quantitatiive research methods are applicable. The course will also help students evaluate the validity and reliability of quantitative research.

Throughout the course participants should reflect the content of the lectures and readings in relation to your own thesis work or plans. At the end of this course you are to write a final assignment. This assignment is designed to guide your thesis work. Choose the assignment which best fits into your own thesis process at this point.
