In Session two Prof Alava introduces the basic concepts of effectiveness. He continues to examine the different approaches of educational effectiveness and theories of organizational effectiveness. In addition, he defines different factors of effectiveness. Later he introduces a typology of effective models and the context of traditional school effectiveness research. He also brings out critical voices in the effectiveness/accountability discussion. In the last lecture Prof Alava defines essential approaches on accountability.
