Lecture 2 discusses why intercultural competence is crucial in today's society. There are three reasons behind: globalizaion, mobility & techonology, as well as multiculturalism. Lecturer gives many examples about the old values and new values co-exist in today's world. People's values change more rapidly than before. Therefore, it is extremely important to possess cultural literarcy.
