My name is MªCruz, a Primary School Teacher from Alicante. I applied for Mutala School because I wanted to see how Finnish Education Systems works because I had read fantastic reviews about it. And I wanted to observe teachers working in Finland and learn as much as possible from them.  

From the beginning, I felt more than welcome. I contacted to Hanna-Kaisa and she didn’t doubt about welcoming in her school, she is very kind and helpful, like Ossi, my mentor. He helped me and explained to me every doubt I asked him. 

When I arrived to Mutala School, all teachers were very nice with me and I felt one more of its staff. I am very glad to be there. It was a dream to be in Finland as a teacher and I could be there. And, as Hanna-Kaisa says "Be careful what you wish because, sometimes, wishes come true".

I spent two weeks finding out its system and visiting Joensuu. And also I had the opportunity to teach some Spanish lessons and to explain our Spanish Christmas traditions in a workshop.

To sum up, I can say that I have learned many things and curiosities from Finnish education, people, culture, food, etc.
