We introduced the history, modern life, traditions, and customs of the Czech Republic.

The main part of the lesson was dedicated to the story Dog and Cat (Povídání o pejskovi a kočičce). The story was used to develop pupils' reading literacy in an engaging and interactive way.

Pupils worked in groups and pairs, discussing the text, answering questions, and completing tasks collaboratively. Movement-based activities helped them understand and remember new vocabulary and key parts of the story, while rhythm and repetition supported pronunciation, fluency, and language awareness. The activities also encouraged pupils to predict, retell, and identify the main ideas of the text.

The lesson was connected with other subjects, particularly Art, Crafts, English, and Ethics, which allowed pupils to experience the story from different perspectives and develop a broader understanding of its content.

The lesson concluded with feedback and reflection, giving pupils the opportunity to share their experiences, evaluate their learning, and reflect on the activities.
